The fourth pilot of this evidence based program launched in Naples, Florida on June 11, 2022. It first provides supports for the pediatricians to succeed in directly managing mild and moderate cases of Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, and Disruptive Behavior by enhancing assisted referral and formalizing routine telephone consults with a child and adolescent psychiatrist. Then training is provided to ensure the confidence and competence in assessment, diagnosis and treatment, including preventive actions. The program earns AMA Category 1 Continuing Medical Education credits.

The Boston Children's Hospital training program is called Building Bridges of Understanding. The previous pilots were at Boston Children's Hospital, Los Angeles Children's Hospital, and Connecticut Children's Medical Center.

Any Rotary District can facilitate this resource in the local community. RAGMHI can advise how to help your community provides supports for the pediatricians by enhancing assisted referral and formalizing routine telephone consults with a child and adolescent psychiatrist. It is also helpful for Rotary to provide printed and bound materials that are provided during the training as digital files. To consider these actions, go to the Toolkits and select The Lever for Pediatricians.
